GC Enterprise Architecture and Standards,

The Enterprise Architecture and Standards Division leads the design, development and implementation of the Government of Canada's (GC) enterprise architecture (EA), a framework of principles, standards and practices used to guide the design and implementation of service transformation and IM/IT initiatives. In addition, the Enterprise Architecture and Standards Division supports the stewardship and comptrollership functions of the Treasury Board Secretariat by providing architectural reviews of key projects, coordinating identification of new common components and services within the Government of Canada EA, and developing migration and implementation plans.

Enterprise Architecture Resources

Cyber Authentication 
TBS with the collaboration of key stakeholders focused on a short effort looking at the business problems, vision and activities for a GC wide strategy to renew the electronic (or cyber) authentication environment for on-line electronic service delivery.

GC Service Oriented Architecture Strategy - Statement of Direction
This document introduces the Service Oriented approach and the GC SOA reference model that provides all departments and agencies with a statement of direction and orientation to help ensure a consistent adoption of SOA in support of a cohesive approach to service delivery across government.

GC Service Oriented Architecture Strategy - Primer
This document provides a foundational overview of the GC SOA and introduces the basic concepts of Service Oriented design from the perspective of the Canadian Federal Government.

Federated Architecture
This section presents the federated architecture approach that GC has adopted for the strategic IM/IT infrastructure allowing infrastructure elements to be planned, designed, co-ordinated and implemented into an integrated and cohesive infrastructure of common government-wide IM/IT capabilities.

Profile of GC Information Technology Services
This document provides an enterprise view and reference point for GC's IT Programs that supports the development of consistent IT service descriptions, more detailed IT service catalogues of IT Service Providers (as required), as well as the basis for common planning, design and communications of GC IT Services across government.

Accessibility Domain Architecture
This section outlines the vision, principles and architecture to guide Information Management/Information Technology developers in the development of systems and environments that are usable by everyone - including persons with disabilities.

GSRM
This section presents the Governments of Canada Strategic Reference Models (GSRM) that provide a standardized approach to business modeling for governments, using public service language and concepts.

BTEP
This section presents the Business Transformation Enablement Program (BTEP) that offers a set of standardized tools for program and service alignment and business design.

Information and Technology Standards
A Treasury Board information or technology standard is one that has been approved by the Treasury Board for mandatory use throughout the federal government of Canada.
