Glenn Gould Studio is a superb recording facility offering the sound
isolation (NC 12), state-of-the-art recording facilities and acoustics
that are ideal for classical, jazz and contemporary music recordings.
The Studio may be rented for 2 track or multitrack recording projects
by organizations and individuals, subject to the availability, policies
and rental terms of the Studio. The Studio is rented per hour, or in larger
blocks of time.

Basic rental Fee includes the following:
Gould Studio auditorium with available lighting system and setup
Control room & equipment (2 track or multitrack mode)
CBC Recording Engineer (a renting organization may engage its own recording
engineer to work on its behalf in Glenn Gould Studio, however CBC retains
the right of approval for such individuals.)
House technician for stage set-up & operation of available lighting
Tuned New York Steinway grand piano (one tuning) per day
Available choir risers (6)
Backstage Lounge, 2 large dressing rooms, 2 private dressing rooms (one
with wheelchair access), washrooms, 3 warm-up pianos

General Information
The Studio and its washrooms are wheelchair accessible.
Stage entrance for performers and equipment is 25 John Street.
Deposit required is a minimum of 50% of the Basic Rental Fee, payable
upon confirmation. Deposit is non-refundable. Payment will be accepted
in cash or by certified cheque.
About Glenn Gould Studio Acoustics

Take a look around and notice the colours and features of this rather
unusual performing space. You will see some odd angles in the way the
walls seem to be broken up. Both the design elements and the colours echo
the basic design of the Broadcasting Centre exterior and this is intentional.
The top architects of this building also designed this space and unified
