Statistical Tool for HR Staff Only

The PSC is now making available to departmental Human Resource staff involved in HR planning issues, access to the HR Statistical Tool.. This password protected “Cube” provides more detailed departmental tables with the addition of four personal information variables - classification (including subgroup and level), sex, first official language and age groupings.

In addition this site provides PSEA Population data derived from the Public Service Human Resources Management Agency of Canada's (PSHRMAC) Incumbent file. The numbers would be somewhat different as the PSHRMAC (Public Service Staff Relations Act - PSSRA) and PSC (Public Service Employment Act - PSEA) universes are different.

This population data is for your departmental use only. The source for official information on population data in the federal public service is PSHRMAC: Federal Public Service Employment Statistics.

In order to access the new HR Statistical Tool, the PSC asks that the Chief of Staffing or Head of Personnel in your department contact the PSC by means of an e-mail to aiad-dina-info@psc-cfp.gc.ca, containing the name(s), title(s), telephone number(s) and e-mail address(es) of individuals who should have additional access as part of their normal HR functions.

In obtaining access to these four additional variables you and your staff members need to be aware that this tool produces multi-dimensional tables that may allow for identification of individuals. This information is protected and the PSC is committed to respecting the personal privacy of these individuals. Please refer to the Statement on Personal Information Protection
