Published since 1963, this monthly journal reports current research in geophysics, economic geology, paleontology, biostratigraphy, quaternary geoscience, structural geology, tectonics, sedimentology, mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry, stratigraphy, and glacial geology. It also publishes special issues that focus on information and studies about a particular segment of earth sciences.

Dr. Brian Jones

Dr. Brian Jones — University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Dr. Jones is a professor in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and holds the C.R. Stelck Chair in Petroleum Geology at the University of Alberta. As a geologist, he focuses on carbonate sedimentology and diagenesis, and the precipitates associated with hot springs and geysers. He is the author of more than 175 peer-reviewed papers.
