[2006-04-24]  OTTAWA, April 24, 2006 - The Honourable John Baird, President of the Treasury Board of Canada, introduced the proposed Federal Accountability Act on April 11, 2006, taking action to earn back the trust of Canadians. This will be the topic of Minister Baird's address to the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce today at the Centurion Conference Centre.

[2006-04-11]  The Federal Accountability Act will be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at approximately 10:00 a.m. An Action Plan will also be released. At 10:15 a.m. John Baird, President of the Treasury Board, will join the Prime Minister in a media availability in Room 238S (Commonwealth Room) in the Centre Block. At 11:00 a.m. government officials will provide a not-for-attribution technical briefing to provide journalists with background information on the proposed legislation and Action Plan in Room 237C (Reading Room) in the Centre Block.

[2006-04-10]  The Federal Accountability Act will be tabled in Parliament at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2006. An Action Plan will also be released. To assist television stations in their reporting of this proposed legislation, a series of stock visuals illustrating various aspects of the Government of Canada will be made available free-of-charge on a satellite feed at 3:00 p.m. on April 11, 2006.
