Notice to bargain was received on September 27, 2007. The bargaining unit has chosen conciliation as its dispute resolution method.

Association of Justice Counsel

Law (LA) (expiry date: February 28, 2006)

On May 10, 2006, the bargaining agent filed a notice to bargain and selected the arbitration process as its dispute resolution method. During bargaining, if the parties reach an impasse that prevents them from reaching a collective agreement, either party can request the establishment of an arbitration board by giving written notice to the Chairperson of the PSLRB. The Arbitration Board would render an arbitral award which is binding on both parties.

The parties exchanged their proposals November 22 and 23, 2006. Meetings were held the week of January 22, February 19, April 11 to 13, and June 26 to 28, 2007. The parties will meet again September 25 to 27, 2007. During this last session, both parties realized that the intervention of a mediator would be beneficial in advancing the negotiations. The parties currently have two negotiations session scheduled in November 2007.

Association of Canadian Financial Officers

Financial Management (FI) (expiry date:  November 6, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received on July 9, 2007. The bargaining unit has chosen arbitration as its dispute resolution method. The parties are scheduled to exchange proposals on November 20, 2007.

Canadian Association of Professional Employees

Economics and Social Science Services (EC):  (expiry date: June 21, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received June 8, 2007. The bargaining unit has chosen arbitration as its dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on July 16, 2007 and met to explain proposals September 11 and 12, 2007.  The next negotiating session is scheduled for November 20 to 22, 2007.

Translation (TR) (expiry date: April 18, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received on April 12, 2007. The group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The parties began negotiations August 15 and 16, 2007. Negotiations were held from November 6 to 8, 2007 and will resume from December 4 to 6, 2007.

Canadian Merchant Service Guild

Ships' Officers (SO) (expiry date: March 31, 2006)

Notice to bargain was received March 30, 2006. The group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on April 20, 2006. Negotiations took place on August 21 to 24, September 26 to 29, November 21 to 24, 200 and April 24 to 26, 2007. The bargaining agent has requested the establishment of an Arbitration Board

Canadian Military Colleges Faculty Association

University Teachers (UT):  (expiry date: June 30, 2007)

Notice to Bargain was received on April 27, 2007. The parties exchanged proposals on June 19, 2007. The group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The parties met on August 28 to 30 and will meet again on November 20 to 22, 2007.

CAW - Local 2182

Radio Operations (RO): (expiry date: April 30, 2007)

Notice to Bargain was received on April 27, 2007 and the group has selected conciliation as the dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on October 26, 2007. The next meetings are scheduled for February 11 to 14, 2008.

Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada - Local 588-G

Printing Services (Non-Supervisory) (PR)(NS) (expiry date:  September 30, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received on July 3, 2007. The bargaining unit has chosen conciliation as its dispute resolution. The bargaining agent has indicated that it will not be in a position to exchange proposals until early 2008.

Federal Government Dockyard Chargehands Association

Ship Repair Chargehands and Production Supervisors - East (SRC) (expiry date:  March 31, 2008)

The collective agreement was signed on July 9, 2007.

Federal Government Dockyard Trades and Labour Council (East)

Ship Repair (East) (All employees located on the East) (expiry date: December 31, 2006)

Notice to bargain was received October 20, 2006. The bargaining agent has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on November 29, 2006. Meetings were held January 29-February 1, March 26-29, and May 8, 2007. During this last session, the parties could not resolve the outstanding pay issues. The parties are therefore reviewing their respective options.

Federal Government Dockyard Trades and Labour Council (Esquimalt) (West)

Ship Repair (All employees located on the West Coast) (SR-W) (expiry date: September 30, 2006)

Notice to bargain was received on June 16, 2006. The group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on July 20, 2006. Negotiations took place from October 16 to 19, November 6 to 9, 2006 February 5 8, and April 23-26, 2007. A tentative settlement was reached on April 26. However, the membership rejected it in a vote held during the week of April 30. The Bargaining Agent has indicated that it will soon file for arbitration.

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Local 2228

Electronics (EL):  (expiry date: August 31, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received on May 23, 2007. The bargaining unit has chosen arbitration as its dispute resolution method. The parties are scheduled to exchange proposals on October 1, 2007. Negotiations were conducted on October 10, 11 and 12, 2007 and from November 13 to 15, 2007. The next talks are tentatively scheduled for the week of February 4, 2008.

National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada

Air Traffic Control (AI): (expiry date: June 30, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received on October 16, 2007. The bargaining unit has chosen conciliation as its dispute resolution. Both parties have agreed to exchange proposals in early 2008.

Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers

Foreign Services (FS):  (June 30, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received on March 6, 2007 and the group has selected conciliation as the dispute resolution method. The parties held a planning pre-negotiating meeting on October 2, 2007.

Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC)

Applied Science and Patent Examination (SP) (expiry date: September 30, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received on June 18, 2007 and the group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on September 18 and continued negotiations on September 19, 2007. The parties will continue negotiations on October 2, 3, and 4, 2007. The parties met on November 13 and 14, 2007.

Architecture, Engineering and Land Survey (NR):  (expiry date: September 30, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received August 9, 2007 and the group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on September 25, 2007 and met again on October 16 and 17, 2007 where the parties reached agreement on a number of proposals. Negotiations will continue during the week of November 27, 2007.

Audit, Commerce and Purchasing (AV):  (expiry date: June 21, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received on June 14, 2007 and the group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on September 17, 2007 and will start negotiations on October 30 and 31 and on November 1, 2007. Negotiations will continue from December 10 to 12, 2007.

Computer Systems (CS) (expiry date:  December 21, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received on August 29, 2007 and the group has selected conciliation as the dispute resolution method. The parties exchanged proposals on September 13, 2007. The demands are mainly related to hours of work, Technological changes, Service delivery models and vacation leave. The parties met during the week of October 22 to begin discussions on their respective proposals. The parties agreed to renew several provisions. Following further discussion, the parties were able to advance the discussions on issues related to some leave and overtime provisions. Negotiations will continue the week of November 19, 2007.

Health Services (SH): (expiry date: September 30, 2007)

Notice to bargain was received on September 28, 2007. The group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method.

Research (RE) (expiry date: September 30, 2006)

Notice to bargain was received on June 5, 2006. The parties exchanged proposals on August 25, 2006. The parties met October 3-4, November 15-16, December 6-7, 2006, January 29-30 and March 27-28, 2007. The parties met on August 1, 2007 and reached an impasse. The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada has requested the services of a mediator. Mediation will occur on December 3 to 5, 2007.

Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC)

Border Services (FB)

The Public Service Labour Relations Board (PSLRB) certified the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) on February 21, 2007, as the bargaining agent for this new bargaining unit. Employees in this group were previously included in the Program and Administrative Services (PA) bargaining unit. The Notice to Bargain was received on February 21, 2007 and the group has selected conciliation as the dispute resolution method. The proposals were exchanged electronically on April 27, 2007. The parties met during the week of May 14, and provided clarification of their respective proposals. The parties met during the week of June 11, 2007, to discuss the renewal of articles for which no changes were proposed, as well as minor issues. The parties continued discussions during the week of October 9 and the week of November 6, 2007. Negotiations will continue during the week of January 28, 2008.

Program and Administrative Services (PA) (expiry date: June 20, 2007)

Notice to Bargain was received on February 21, 2007 and the group has selected conciliation as the dispute resolution method. The proposals were exchanged electronically on April 27, 2007. The parties met during the week of May 14, and provided clarification of their respective proposals. The parties met during the week of June 4, 2007, to discuss the renewal of articles for which no changes were proposed, as well as minor issues. The parties continued discussions during the week of October 1 and 29, 2007. Negotiations will continue during the week of February 4, 2008.

Technical Services (TC) (expiry date: June 21, 2007)

Notice to Bargain was received on February 22, 2007 and the group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The proposals were exchanged electronically on April 27, 2007. The parties met during the week of May 14, and provided clarification of their respective proposals. The parties met during the week of June 11, 2007, to discuss the renewal of articles for which no changes were proposed, as well as minor issues. The parties continued discussions during the weeks of October 9 and November 6, 2007. Negotiations will continue the week of January 29, 2008.

Education and Library Science (EB):  (expiry date: June 30, 2007)

Notice to Bargain was received on March 1, 2007 and the group has selected arbitration as the dispute resolution method. The proposals were exchanged electronically on April 27, 2007. The parties met during the week of May 14, and provided clarification of their respective proposals. The parties met during the week of June 11, 2007, to discuss the renewal of articles for which no changes were proposed, as well as minor issues. The parties continued discussions during the weeks of October 9 and November 6, 2007. Negotiations will continue during the week of February 4, 2008.

Operational Services (SV):  (expiry date: August 4, 2007)

Notice to Bargain was received April 5, 2007 and the group has selected conciliation as the dispute resolution method. The proposals were exchanged electronically on April 27, 2007. The parties met during the week of May 14 and provided clarification to their respective proposals. The parties met during the week of June 4, 2007, to discuss the renewal of articles for which no changes were proposed, as well as minor issues. The parties continued discussions during the weeks of October 1 and 29, 2007. The Ship's Crews (SC) Sub-committee met on November 9, 2007 where the bargaining agent tabled its proposals. Negotiations will continue during the week of January 29, 2008.

Union of Canadian Correctional Officers / Syndicat des agents correctionnels du Canada - La Confédération des syndicats nationaux

Correctional Officers (CX) (expiry date:  May 31, 2010)

The collective agreement was signed on June 26, 2006.
