Government of Canada Records Management Metadata Standard

This document defines a records management metadata element set recommended for use in the Government of Canada. It outlines the metadata that should be captured in records management systems used by federal government institutions. It describes the "language" of the business of records management, a language which consists of 50 concepts and forms the basis of the Government of Canada Records Management Application Profile (see below).

Executive Correspondence Metadata Application Profile (ECMAP)

This document identifies standards metadata for Government of Canada's standard executive correspondence and provides a related metadata application profile. The document consists of 34 standard metadata elements, an application profile for each element, an analysis of when elements are used in the workflow of executive correspondence, and a logic model to demonstrate the relationships between metadata elements.
