AMICUS News

Please be advised that to improve AMICUS overall performance, the main AMICUS database will be migrated to a new server. In order to do so, the following AMICUS services will not be available from 8:00 p.m. (ET), Friday, November 30, 2007 to 6:00 p.m. (ET), Saturday December 1, 2007:

  • AMICUS Web
  • AMICUS GUI
  • AMICUS Z39.50

Library and Archives Canada regrets any inconvenience that may be caused, but we are confident that system performance improvements will result.

LAC Systems Upgrades

Library and Archives Canada is pleased to announce several improvements to rectify some recent systems problems experienced by our clients. The improvements include a new firewall and an increase of our bandwidth to meet the growing demand on our web services. As a result of these measures, access to our systems has been stabilized.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of our clients and wish to assure you that we are making all efforts to continue to provide stable and reliable systems for accessing the services of LAC.
