Disclosure of Goods and Services Contracts valued at more than $10,000

, Overview , Reports

On March 23, 2004, the government announced a new policy on the mandatory publication of contracts with a value superior to $10,000.

In compliance with this policy, the Parks Canada Agency Web site now contains information on contracts issued by or on behalf of the Agency. The first set of data provided covers the two first quarters of the 2004/2005 financial year. The Agency will publish on its Web site, thirty days after each quarter, the list of contracts issued during that quarter.

The rules and principles governing government contracting are outlined in the Treasury Board Contracting Policy, which can be found at:
http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pubs_pol/dcgpubs/Contracting/contractingpol_e.asp.

The objective of government procurement contracting is to acquire goods and services, including construction services, in a manner that enhances access, competition and fairness and results in best value to Canada.

Please note that information that would normally be withheld under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act does not appear on this Web site.

Requests for additional information related to those contracts must be addressed to: information@pc.gc.ca.
