Communication-Jeunesse

Communication-Jeunesse is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting French-language children's books published in Quebec and Canada. The association brings together close to 800 members, including 250 book clubs, from the publishing, cultural and educational communities.

Over the past 30 years, with the help of its members, its partners and its team, Communication-Jeunesse has developed an expertise and a know-how in promoting reading that has made its name both at home and abroad. The organization's slogan, Le plaisir de lire (the pleasure of reading), reflects its approach to promotion and animation. In addition to offering an early reading and writing program for 0- to 5-year-olds, the Toup'tilitou network of book clubs for 6- to 12-year-olds and the Réseau CJ for teens, Communication-Jeunesse publishes a yearly selection of books for teens and children, and offers children's literature workshops, story times, book quizzes, authors' visits, literary sit-ins for teens and more.

Communication-Jeunesse is a meeting place of ideas and actions for the entire children's literature community, bringing together all those who love to read and wish to pass on the pleasure of reading to the children around them. If you love to read and want to share your passion for books, contact us to find out more about our organization, to become a member, or to lead a book club.
