Users of Service bureaus and payroll providers

If Service bureaus, payroll providers, or similar institutions remit your payroll deductions, they have to provide CRA with the following information:

  • your Business Number;
  • the amount remitted;
  • the gross payroll; and
  • the number of employees in the last pay period.

If you use a service bureau or similar institution to remit your deductions, you are still responsible for making sure that the institution withholds your deductions and sends them to us on time.
