We designed this course to provide a basic knowledge and understanding of Canada's income tax system to individuals who are not familiar with this system.

Most often, that means people who will soon be filing a tax return for the first time.

People who are filing a tax return for the first time will have many questions about the tax system. They will want to know what they need to do to file a tax return and pay their taxes. This course will answer many of those questions, while explaining and showing how to complete a basic tax return. We will also explain how to get help with a tax return or a tax question.

If you are filing a tax return for the first time or if you want to know more about the Canadian tax system, then this course is for you.

Please read on and work through the course to learn more about Canada's tax system and your role in it. We hope you enjoy the experience and find it helpful.
