ADDENDUM "C"

EMPLOYEES OF THE COMPOSITION
SUB-GROUP

THE FOLLOWING MATTERS, IN ADDITION TO THOSE CONTAINED IN THE MASTER COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT, APPLY TO THE COMPOSITION SUB-GROUP:

**ARTICLE 1(C)
REGULAR HOURS

1.1(C) Regular weekly hours for all employees in the Composition Sub-Group shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2), to be worked in five (5) regular shifts of seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours each.

1.2(C)

(i) Notwithstanding the provisions of clause 1.1(C), upon request of an employee and the concurrence of the Employer, an employee may complete his or her weekly hours of employment in a period other than five (5) full days provided that over a period of twenty-eight (28) calendar days the employee works an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours per week. As part of the provisions of this clause, attendance reporting shall be mutually agreed between the employee and the Employer. In every twenty-eight-day (28) period such an employee shall be granted days of rest on such days as are not scheduled as a normal workday for the employee.

(ii) Notwithstanding the provisions of clause 1.1(C), it may be operationally advantageous to implement work schedules for employees that differ from those specified in clause 1.1(C). Any special arrangement may be at the request of either party and must be mutually agreed between the Employer and the majority of employees affected.

(iii) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Agreement, the implementation of any variation in hours shall not result in any additional overtime work or additional payment by reason only of such variation, nor shall it be deemed to prohibit the right of the Employer to schedule any hours of work permitted by the terms of this Agreement.

NIGHT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL

1.3(C) An employee working on a scheduled night shift shall be paid a premium of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour.

CONTROL SUB-GROUP

ADDENDUM "G"

APPRENTICES

PAY NOTES

**

A person appointed to a position with apprenticeship rates from either within the Non-Supervisory Printing Services Group or from another group within the Public Service, and having an existing hourly wage rate higher than that for the year of apprenticeship applicable to him/her shall be paid the rate in the apprenticeship scale of rates which is nearest to but not less than his/her current rate. Such employee shall retain the higher rate until his/her appropriate apprenticeship rate exceeds such higher rate. The higher wage rate referred to above is that of the substantive position from which the person has been appointed.

A person paid an apprenticeship rate who acts in a higher classification level will be paid in the apprenticeship scale of rates of the higher level at a rate which is nearest to but not less than his/her current rate.

For all sub-groups, the increment period is six (6) months and the rates have been calculated by the following percentages from the rate ranges at each level, reflecting the distribution of employees on conversion depending on the Apprenticeship period:
