Peter's musical interest spans eight centuries of classical music.... Gregorian Chant, Renaissance Choral music, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethoven and even some of the great masters of the twentieth century.

He also enjoys a world of musical styles including the folk music of Weekender's home turf - Canada's east coast! Listeners appreciate Peter's ability to integrate all of this music into a easy, seamless flow.

Peter is an accomplished pianist, organist and composer. His studies in organ and composition at the University of British Columbia and his first prize in composition from the Schola Cantorum in Paris are part of a musical background that gives Peter Togni special insight into the recordings he plays on Weekender - insight he shares with listeners in a direct, spontaneous manner.
