WHAT IS OTTAWA MATTERS?
OTTAWA MATTERS is a month-long exploration and discussion of an
issue of importance and interest to Ottawa and its citizens.
Throughout the month of February 2004, the CBC and its Ottawa partners
– Carleton University, Community
Foundation of Ottawa, Ottawa X Press,
National Film Board of Canada, Ottawa Public
Library, and Ottawa City Magazine –
held the first annual OTTAWA MATTERS and embarked on a citywide
search of how we WORK.
For the entire month, the CBC and its partners looked at WORK from
its broadest and most inclusive definition and interpretation. Why
we do it, how we do it, and where we’re doing it.
Listeners tuned into CBC Radio One 91.5 for daily features on Ottawa
Morning and All In A Day and viewers watched
CBC Television’s Canada Now for entertaining
and engaging stories and interviews relating to WORK.
Although OTTAWA MATTERS: Making It WORK 2004 is now over, our Media
Archive will remain accessible for listeners and viewers to
peruse.
