Yorkshire Passenger list, Schedule A, 1898.
The Yorkshire brought 295 passengers, many of whom were immigrants, from Liverpool to Québec and Montréal. Name, age, sex, occupation, country of birth and destination were all recorded on the list. This information was used to interview or inspect prospective immigrants. To the dismay of government officials, many of those arriving in Canada were en route to the United States.
