Danny Barber is a Stonecarver restoring part of the West Block on Parliament Hill.  This weekend he will be participating in the  Milk and Mallets event during Winchester's annual Dairyfest.

Aylmer Auto Show
J-P Sylvestre is the man behind the wheel of this weekend's Aylmer Auto Show.  In its 19 years, the Aylmer Auto Show has grown to become one of the biggest in eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. The Aylmer Auto Show takes place at Cedar Park in Aylmer.  Admission is free.

Cigar Box Guitars
Mike Leeworthy of Frogman Guitars makes cigar box guitars in his basement in Ottawa.
Mike's creations are on view at the Ottawa Folklore Centre on Bank Street.

Cumberland Farmers Market

The Cumberland Farmers' Market presents a day of family fun on Sat. August 7, from 8am to 1pm.  This weekly Farmers' Market boasts fresh locally grown produce,meat, baked goods and artisan crafts.  Kids of all ages can come and play at the kids' table, make crafts, and get their faces painted for free! There will also be a lemonade stand with donations going towards the local Cumberland Cubs and Scouts group.  The Cumberland Farmers' Market is located at the RJ Community Center, 1115 Dunning Rd.,  Cumberland.

Sons Of Scotland Pipe Band Pipefest 2010
The Sons of Scotland Pipe Band and Ottawa City Piping College are proud to present Pipefest 2010 Canada - one of 8 cities taking part in a global piping initiative on August 7.  A parade from Ottawa City Hall to Parliament Hill at 12 pm  celebrates this special day, and all funds raised support the Canadian Cancer Society.

Classic Theatre Festival Presents The Voice Of The Turtle
The Classic Theatre Festival, the Ottawa Valley's professional summer theatre company, presents John van Druten's timeless World War II romantic comedy, The Voice of the Turtle running August 6-29, Wednesday-Saturday at 8 pm, with 2 pm matinees Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Playing at the Studio Theatre in Perth, the show features veterans of top stages across Canada, including Stratford and Shaw. Tickets: 1-877-283-1283.

The Casino du Lac-Leamy Presents A New Exhibitions
The Casino du Lac-Leamy presents a summer exhibition by local artist Rémi Laprise. Le feu déploie ses artifices is a special exhibit as part of Les Grands Feux du Casino du Lac-Leamy and will be
on displayed from August 6 to 27. The public is invited to meet the artist at the vernissage on August 12,  at 6 p.m.  Rémi Laprise specializes in photographing fireworks and his exhibit highlights photographs taken on the shores of Lac-Leamy. This exhibit will be presented in the lobby of the hotel.  819-772-2100
