CBC News Now

Every day, across Canada and around the world, stories are breaking that matter to you. This fall, CBC NN, Canada's No.1 news network, offers some exciting changes in how we bring you those stories. With a dynamic new look and some new additions to our on-air daytime team of journalists, we get your day started and guide you through a busy, ever-changing world.

Through the daytime hours (6 a.m. to 4:30 pm ET), CBC News Network showcases the best of CBC journalism with more live coverage from our bureaus across Canada and the world. Our anchors through the daytime Monday to Friday are Heather Hiscox, Anne-Marie Mediwake, Suhana Meharchand and Carole MacNeil.

Weekends during the daytime also focus on live coverage, staying on top of the stories Canadians care about most. On the weekend, our anchors are Nancy Wilson, Dianne Buckner and Jacquie Perrin.

More than ever, we showcase our work behind the scenes, with new transparency around what our journalists are doing to get the top stories and discover new angles and details. New to the on-air team is the position of "breaking news" reporter. Harry Forestell is one of the correspondents taking on this new role, pulling back the curtain on the pursuit of new information and context around the breaking news of the day.
