Can I get transcripts and/or tapes of programs?

CBC Radio - Prince Edward Island
CBC Prince Edward Island's radio programs are available through Cision Canada or call (902) 422-9200. You will have to provide Cision with the program name, the time the interview ran (accurate to the hour) and the date. Note: there is a charge.

CBC Television - Prince Edward Island
CBC Prince Edward Island does not provide video copies of our local news items broadcast on CBC News: Compass. There are media monitoring companies that provide this service for a fee. Cision Canada in Halifax is one example (902) 422-9200.

CBC Prince Edward Island does not provide video copies of Land & Sea episodes. Most of these episodes can be purchased for educational purposes only from the Nova Scotia Department of Education (902) 424-2440.

CBC DOES NOT provide video copies of any programs featuring musical, comedy or artistic performances (ex: This Hour Has 22 Minutes, East Coast Music Awards, Songwriters' Circle, Halifax Comedy Fest). This is due to performance, and/or music rights.

CBC Network programs

For audio copies of all CBC Radio current affairs programs, please call Cision Canada in Toronto toll free # 1-877-269-3367.

For video copies of selected CBC Television or CBC Newsworld programs, call Cision Canada in Toronto toll free # 1-800-363-1281

These services are available at a cost and only for programs within last 3 months (some programs up to 12 months). You must know the name of the program and date of broadcast.

How do I get a PSA aired on radio or a community event mentioned?

Print or type the details of your event including date, time, location, and a contact, and fax to (902) 629-6518 approximately two weeks before the event date.

If you miss the deadline, you can call our talkback line at (800) 680-1898 and record your own 30-second community event notice. A selection of these recordings are aired on Island Morning and Mainstreet.
