Join CBC Toronto in support of Harbourfront Centre's World Routes Summer Festival. Explore the idea of "global to local & local to global" with 10 FREE outdoor festivals that bring together rich artistic traditions from around the corner to around the globe.

Experience top Canadian and international artists in music, dance, theatre, visual arts, film, literature and food in a fun, family-friendly environment in the heart of Toronto's waterfront.

The festival series begins with a celebration of Canada's 143rd birthday on July 1st and continues every weekend to September 6th

Koerner Hall 2010-2011 Piano Series

After the successful inauguration of Koerner Hall 2009 season at the Telus Centre for Performance and Learning, The Royal Conservatory of Music presents another series of classical piano concerts this year. Six performances beginning November 2010 to May 2011 are sure to thrill the audience.

Olga Kern
Yamaha unveils their superb new concert grand piano with a special performance by Russian pianist Olga Kern, the Gold Medalist at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

Stewart Goodyear
Known for imagination, a graceful and elegant style, and exquisite technique, Stewart Goodyear trained at The Royal Conservatory's Glenn Gould School with James Anagnoson and later with Leon Fleisher.

Stewart Stewart Goodyear
Simone Dinnerstein Her first two recordings - Goldberg Variations and The Berlin Concert(Telarc) - both earned the No.1 spot on the BillboardClassical Chart during their first weeks on sale. The Goldberg Variations appeared on "Best of 2007" lists, including those of The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and The New Yorker.

Hélène Grimaud
French pianist Hélène Grimaud has been described as "red-hot" and "impressive" by The New York Times. Always following her own, distinctive path in music, she only plays music that she likes, that speaks to her, and that she has something meaningful to say about.

Leon Fleisher
Beloved teacher and legendary pianist, Leon Fleisher, is an institution at The Royal Conservatory and everywhere he goes! Particularly well-known for his interpretations of Bach, his concert with the Royal Conservatory Orchestra was sold out during the 09.10 season. Be sure to get your tickets early for this special performance.

Pierre-Laurent Aimard
"The astounding French pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard spent the first part of his adventurous career in the front lines of the musical avant-garde as a mainstay of Pierre Boulez's contemporary-music ensemble in Paris. In the last decade, though, he has branched out, revealing himself to be an elegant and exciting performer of Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann and Ravel." (The New York Times)
