If you've got a news tip, you can call the assignment desk of CBC Radio One news in St. John's at (709) 576-5225, or toll free 1-866-576-5225; in Gander at (709) 256-4311; in Grand Falls - Windsor (709) 489-2102; in Corner Brook at (709) 637-1172 or toll free 1-800-777-0990; in Happy Valley - Goose Bay at (709) 896-2911; and in Labrador City at (709) 944-3611. You can phone the CBC News: Here & Now assignment desk at (709) 576-5110 for TV news but please note that this desk is closed after business hours.

How do I get my school announcement on the air?

If you have an announcement about a school closure, late bus or any other late-breaking development, please call (709) 576-5225, or toll-free 1-866-576-5225. Routine announcements can be faxed to 576-5234.

How do I suggest an idea or pose a question to a local show?

Go to the Programs page, and follow the link to the show. Look for the “Contact” link for that show in the left-hand side of the show’s page.

How do I suggest an idea or pose a question to a national show?

Go to Programs A-Z, look for the listing for that show, then follow the link to the website for that show. Look for the “Contact Us” section of the site.

How can I find out the name of the song I just heard on CBC Radio?

Can I get transcripts and/or tapes of programs?

CBC Radio - Newfoundland and Labrador
Transcripts and audio dubs are available through External link opens in a new windowCision Canada for the following news/current affairs programs broadcast on CBC Radio in Newfoundland and Labrador: St. John's Morning Show, Radio Noon, On the Go, The Fisheries Broadcast, Weekend Arts Magazine, The Central Morning Show, The West Coast Morning Show, and Labrador Morning.

To inquire about tapes or transcripts, please call: Cision at - 1-800-363-1530 or call 709-576-5000. You will have to provide Cision with the program name, the time the interview ran (accurate to the hour) and the date.

Cision provides written transcripts, CD's, DVD's, streaming and downloadable audio clips. All materials supplied by this service must only be used for internal review, research or analysis. Any public display, publication or re-broadcast is strictly forbidden.

How do I get a PSA aired on radio or a community event mentioned?
