TD Summer Reading Club E-Newsletter

Volume 1. Number 11. March 2010

In this issue:

Destination Jungle

Though it may be cold and snowy outside now, it won’t be long before we journey together with the children to that exotic jungle and let our imaginations run wild. Program artist Stéphane Jorisch has designed an absolutely breathtaking poster that is sure to delight all with its playful, endearing jungle scenes and characters.

Vote for the 2011 Theme

As we requested last year at this time, we would like your vote for the next year’s theme. You may recall that we need to know the next year’s theme earlier in order to facilitate the book buying and transcribing process for CNIB. From the Harris-Decima Evaluation Report 2009 the following shortlist of themes has been selected by members of the TD Summer Reading Club National Committee:

  1. Be a Star! / Any kind of star, a circus performer, musician, scientist, dancer, performer, even a celestial one.
  2. Splash! / Celebrate summer.
  3. Treasure! / Adventure, pirates, travel, etc.

Please indicate your preference for the 2011 theme by March 31st, 2010 by sending an email to Anna Cocca, the TD Summer Reading Club Coordinator at acocca@torontopubliclibrary.ca

If you like, you can let us know your preference for a second choice too. The results will be included in the next Newsletter. Thank you in advance for your help with the 2011 theme.
