Destination Jungle Though it may be cold and snowy outside now, it won’t be long before we journey together with the children to that exotic jungle and let our imaginations run wild. Program artist Stéphane Jorisch has designed an absolutely breathtaking poster that is sure to delight all with its playful, endearing jungle scenes and characters. As we requested last year at this time, we would like your vote for the next year’s theme. You may recall that we need to know the next year’s theme earlier in order to facilitate the book buying and transcribing process for CNIB. From the Harris-Decima Evaluation Report 2009 the following shortlist of themes has been selected by members of the TD Summer Reading Club National Committee:
Please indicate your preference for the 2011 theme by March 31st, 2010 by sending an email to Anna Cocca, the TD Summer Reading Club Coordinator at acocca@torontopubliclibrary.ca If you like, you can let us know your preference for a second choice too. The results will be included in the next Newsletter. Thank you in advance for your help with the 2011 theme. The various Committees working on the TD Summer Reading Club have compiled excellent reading lists for children this year. The booklists will be followed by the exciting artwork and graphics that have been designed for this year’s program. The indispensable Staff Manual is also being coded for posting.
