Photo of Illustrator Ange Zhang

Ange Zhang is an artist and internationally-known theatre designer. In 2004 his first book Red Land, Yellow River was published and is already winning awards.

Some of the books he has illustrated include Thor by W.D. Valgardson, The Fishing Summer and The Stoneboat, both by Teddy Jam. When he is not designing theatre sets or creating out-of-this-world artwork for the TD Summer Reading Club, he works in animation on the cartoon show Braceface.

Ange grew up in China but left in 1989. He and his family now live in Toronto.
