Building Closure
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Please note that the building located at 395 Wellington Street, in Ottawa, will be closed Saturday February 25 at 6 am to 6 am the next day, due to major electrical maintenance work performed by Public Works and Government Services Canada. During this period no service is offered and all events are cancelled in this building. Library and Archives Canada apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this temporary closure.

Service Interruption
Starting October 7, 2011, Library and Archives Canada (LAC) will begin a systems upgrade on its server that will ultimately enable clients to use the Government of Canada's "Receiver General Buy Button" (RGBB) when making purchases using LAC's online forms.
The RGBB is a common service used by federal departments and agencies for the electronic acceptance of payments and secure storage of related payment information. This function also provides convenient, reliable and secure payment services to clients and businesses during their online dealings with the federal government.
The transition to RGBB will help align LAC's business processes with those of other federal departments and agencies.
During the transition, clients will have the option of either being invoiced for copies or leaving their coordinates on the order form provided online. Clients who opt to leave their coordinates will be contacted at a later date to process their credit card purchase.

Use of Space at 395 Wellington Street
Please note that federal government spaces are available to all federal government departments, agencies, and Crown corporations. Spaces used for events and conferences, such as the ones at 395 Wellington Street, can be reserved for government functions by all federal government organizations listed in the Financial Administration Act. Public Works and Government Services Canada will continue to offer spaces at 395 Wellington Street to government organizations and to non-government organizations who qualify for the use of the spaces. Reservations will be granted to non-government organizations who obtain sponsorship from a federal department, and whose mandate is related to that of the private organization. The spaces will be rented out and these services will be charged based on market or cost recovery rates depending on the nature of the service. Further details can be obtained by contacting the PWGSC Real Property Branch Events and Conference Management reservations office at ReservationsGC@pwgsc-tpsgc.gc.ca, or by calling the main events and conferences telephone number at 613-990-6700.
