How to Write an Effective Secret Question

If you forget your password, we will ask you to answer this secret question, before we e-mail you a temporary password.

Here are a few tips to create your secret question. Make sure your answer

  • focuses on something nobody else knows;
  • will not likely change over time;
  • is not associated to your password;
  • is difficult for others to guess, even if they see the question.

Example:

  • What is my grandmother's maiden name?
