Library and Archives Canada (LAC) offers publishers several convenient ways of sending their online publications to LAC for inclusion in its Electronic Collection. Please refer to How do I deposit online publications? This process fulfills Legal Deposit requirements, and ensures that Canada's online heritage is stored, preserved and made available for present and future generations.
Please note that online publications submitted to Legal Deposit should have a distinct title, a specific author or authoring body, a specific publication date, be intended for and available to the public (e.g., on the Internet or through a distribution list).
The web form can be used for submitting online publications (including .zip files) that are less than 10 MB. Other options are available for publications that are larger than this limit in size (please see How do I deposit an HTML publication? in the Frequently Asked Questions section.
To register
Before submitting publications via the web form, you will need to register and secure access permission. Upon completion of the registration process, you will receive a login that will enable you to submit publications.
Submitting
To submit publications click on this "Submit publications" link. You will use the login obtained in the registration process to gain access to the submissions area. Once logged in, follow the steps to submit your publication(s).
Acknowledgement
Once you have submitted your publication(s) you will receive an email acknowledgement.
