Sinking pavement a sure sign of water main leak below road: The Fixer
The water main was fixed last winter, but new problems with the road surface indicate it has sprung another leak.
Since 2004, reporter Jack Lakey, also known as The Fixer, has fielded thousands of complaints from readers about ailing municipal services across the city. From potholes to parking, and streetcars to street lights, Jack's goal is to get to the bottom of the problem and get it fixed for you. He has a great track record, and now we're pairing him up with SeeClickFix, a powerful tool that allows readers to log their problem here online or via a mobile app and also see problems other folks have reported.
Follow The Fixer on his blog thestar.blogs.com/thefixer and on Twitter @TOStarfixer.
Click on the REPORT tab or "Report an issue" button and fill in the fields with as many details as possible. If you have a photo, upload it. What should you complain about? It can be anything – big or small – in need of repair by your municipal government, a missing stop sign, a pothole, or a broken TTC shelter. When done, your report will be instantly emailed to the city. Then check back often for updates and coverage of municipal issues from The Fixer.
