Documentary: The Belgian Forest

This hour-long film details the story of RCAF Halifax bomber LW682, which crashed into a Belgian swamp in 1944, entombing its crew. In 1997, when the aircraft was recovered, these brave airmen were given full military funerals.

Following the funerals, the wreckage of the Halifax bomber was brought back to Canada. The aircraft's aluminum was later used to create the ceiling of the Bomber Command Memorial in London's Green Park, the ultimate memorial to Allied bomber crews.
