Back for their 9th season at the Museum, the Centralaires will be launching their 2013/2014 concert series and Remembrance Week commemorations with this homage to the Canadian Forces.

Warrant Officer (Ret'd) Ron Moyes shares his experiences in London, England, during the June 2012 unveiling of the Bomber Command Memorial in Green Park. The memorial was unveiled by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II before an audience of approximately 7,000 people, including 900 airmen.
On loan from the Bomber Command Museum of Canada in Alberta (formerly the Nanton Lancaster Air Museum), the Memorial Wall displays the 10,659 names of Canadian servicemen who lost their lives while serving in Bomber Command operations during the Second World War.
This hour-long film details the story of RCAF Halifax bomber LW682, which crashed into a Belgian swamp in 1944, entombing its crew. In 1997, when the aircraft was recovered, these brave airmen were given full military funerals.
Following the funerals, the wreckage of the Halifax bomber was brought back to Canada. The aircraft's aluminum was later used to create the ceiling of the Bomber Command Memorial in London's Green Park, the ultimate memorial to Allied bomber crews.
