Green Skies Ahead

An Overview

Green Skies Ahead takes you on a tour of the innovative carbon-friendly technology that will shape commercial aviation over the next 50 years: high-efficiency jet engines; new super-light, super-strong, composite materials; innovative wing designs; and, cutting-edge navigation technology that will help create superhighways in the sky. Explore the fuel, cost, and carbon savings of these new technologies and examine their impact on the future of travel. See some of the futuristic energy-efficient aircraft designs on the drawing table today and decide if they are science or science-fiction.

Contribute to a country-wide discussion on energy production and consumption in Canada and their effects on the environment and on our quality of life at energy.technomuses.ca.

Opening hours of the Canada Aviation and Space Museum

Regular schedule: Wednesday to Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Closed Tuesdays except statutory and school holidays.
Closed Christmas Day. Open New Year’s Day.
Aviation and Rockcliffe Parkways.
