Visitor Guide
The aircraft and exhibits in the Canada Aviation and Space Museum are arranged to guide a visitor along a “Walkway of Time” that traces the history of aviation and highlights Canada’s pioneering contributions. The visual effect of the exhibits is quite spectacular, with the original and often bright markings of the aircraft standing out against the stark white and gray background of the Museum interior, as they would on a snowy northern airfield or frozen lake. The aircraft are clustered in pools or islands of time, with each island representing a key period in aviation history. Visitors can view the entire collection from the second floor mezzanine.
The Floor Plan provides an overview of the Museum and indicates which aircraft are on view to the public. You can download and print the Aircraft index to bring with you on your visit to the Museum.
Please note: The new Storage Wing houses many more interesting artifacts. These are not listed in the Aircraft index. If you have a special interest in an aircraft located in the Storage Wing, or require more detailed information on a specific aircraft in the collection, visit our Collections section.

Café La Vigilance
During your visit to the Museum, enjoy a snack or light meal at our Café La Vigilance. The café is usually open during regular operating hours. Museum admission is not required.
Aeronautica Boutique
Delight the aviation enthusiasts in your life with something from our wide selection of “flight-flavoured” items. Choose from fun and educational toys, historical books, videos, keepsakes, models, puzzles, posters, and aviation apparel. The boutique is open during regular museum hours.
Outdoor Facilities
During temperate weather we offer a covered picnic area, adjacent to the Museum.
Photography
Visitors may photograph and film artifacts in our collection with hand-held cameras and electronic flash, as long as the images are for their personal use only.
Access for those with special needs
The Museum makes every effort to ensure that visitors with special needs will have a satisfying visit. With only a few minor exceptions, the Museum building and grounds are barrier-free. Regular and motorized wheelchairs are available, free of charge, at the lobby desk. Strollers for toddlers are also available for use inside the Museum at no extra charge. Spaces for persons with disabilities are designated in our parking areas.

On-site ATM
For the convenience of our visitors, an ATM is located in our lobby.
