Under Economic Action Plan 2014, the Government has taken steps to make life more affordable for Canadian families.
The Government recognizes that adoption can be costly for prospective parents. That is why Canada's Economic Action Plan improved the Adoption Expense Tax Credit to allow more adoption-related expenses to be claimed under the credit.

The Apprenticeship Incentive Grant is a grant of $1,000 offered by the Government of Canada to registered apprentices who have completed their first and/or second year or level (or equivalent) of an apprenticeship program in a designated Red Seal trade.

Under Canada’s Economic Action Plan, Canadians who are caregivers for family members with physical or mental impairments may qualify to receive an additional tax credit of up to $306 for an eligible dependent.
