Male victim identified in fatal Vaughan crash
16-year-old Chaminade College School student Joshua Ferreira is the second teen to die as a result of Saturday night’s single-vehicle crash that also injured four other teens.

A 16-year old male who died in hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Vaughan has been identified as Joshua Ferreira.
Ferreira was a student at the Chaminade College School, an all-boys Catholic school in North York, confirmed a Toronto Catholic District School Board spokesperson.

According to York Regional Police, a vehicle veered off Teston Rd., west of Pine Valley Dr., after 9 p.m. Saturday night. Police arrived on scene to find six people trapped inside.
A 15-year-old female died on scene while the rest were rushed to hospital in serious to life-threatening conditions.
All of the victims are between the ages of 15 and 17. Another one of the victims was also a student with the TCDSB.
It is still unknown what caused the vehicle to run off of the street.
