Scott Armstrong

Cumberland-Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley (Nova Scotia)

Scott Armstrong was first elected to the House of Commons in November 2009 and was re-elected in May 2011. He was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Employment and Social Development in September 2013. He was also appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Labour in February 2015.

Mr. Armstrong was an elementary school principal for over 10 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Acadia University, a master's degree in Social Science Education from Florida State University, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Southern Mississippi.

He has volunteered on the Children's Aid Society Board and the Hospital Foundation Board.
