Description
English: Image of a cartoon entitled "Something has come to town" with a man standing on a curb wearing a sash reading "Winnipeg Citizen" saying "Dear me! I didn't know we had a circus in town" while watching a hooded and robed man on a donkey carrying a flag made out of a patched shirt with "K.K.K. Clean Up" written on it and a sign tied to the donkeys tail reading "The S$ 13 Sucker" with a dog barking in foreground- "During this period of Klan popularity in Saskatchewan, ambitious Klan organizers attempted to expand beyond the provincial border into Manitoba. However Klan activities in Winnipeg met with almost universal opposition from all sections of the population. The Klan failed to establish even a toe hold in the city. Furthermore, an attempt to hold a Klan meeting in The Pas ended in a vicious riot, and the Klan organizers soon scurried back to Saskatchewan. - Political cartoon satirizing the Klan's attempt to organized in Winnipeg.
