Safari boots are a type of footwear intended to be worn on safaris and usually preferred by the likes of adventurers, hunters etc. They usually have high shafts to provide ankle support much like combat boots and typically made from the likes of leather or canvas and in brown/tan colours suited to the arid outback environments.

Safari Boots as a fashion[edit]

Safari boots were also worn in fashion during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Camel Trophy also released the range of 'Adventure Boots' as well as various brands such as Travel Fox who made the 'world tour boot' with a side pocket.

In popular culture[edit]

Safari boots are also worn in the media by survivalists and adventurers in TV documentaries and movies.
