Wikipedia:Files for upload

Welcome to Files for Upload, part of WikiProject Articles for creation. This process was created to allow unregistered users to add new files to Wikipedia with the assistance of experienced Wikipedians. If you would like to upload an image yourself, you can create an account and after four days and 10 edits you will be autoconfirmed and able to upload files. However, please consider uploading free files over at the Wikimedia Commons (instructions for creating an account there can be found here).

Submitting a Request

If you... are registered and autoconfirmed please upload the image yourself. If you need help uploading the image, ask at the Wikipedia Helpdesk, or you may find assistance at our live help for English Wikipedia. Please consider uploading free content to the Wikimedia Commons (you can login with your Wikipedia username and password). To upload an image to Wikipedia click here, to upload an image to the Wikimedia Commons click here. have a Wikipedia account but it is not autoconfirmed and the image you want to upload is not copyrighted, you will be able to upload it to the Wikimedia Commons (you will be able to login with your Wikipedia username and password). If you would like to submit a request... click the 'Submit a Request' link below and follow the instructions in the Wizard. after your request is submitted your request will be reviewed and the image will be uploaded if it conforms to the guidelines in the Wizard and guidelines on Wikipedia. Reviewing requests

If you are an experienced and autoconfirmed editor, then you can help out by reviewing requests. Make sure you're familiar with Wikipedia's policies on non-free content (or simplified version). Learn about Wikipedia's various copyright tags. Read the guide on how to review file upload requests. Note that this page's editnotice contains an expandable cheat sheet with all the templates used in reviewing requests. After uploading the file tag its talk page with {{subst:WPAFCF}}. Remember to subst all templates. Notify the requester at their talk page using {{ffu talk}} ~~~~ whenever you act on their request. You are responsible for anything you upload, so make sure you are comfortable that the file satisfies Wikipedia's policies first. If the file is non-free, then you must insert the file in the appropriate article right away in order to comply with the non-free content criteria.
