European Costa Ricans or White Costa Ricans are people from Costa Rica whose ancestry lies within the continent of Europe, most notably Spain.
As of 2013, whites and mestizos are the majority ethnic group among Costa Ricans, accounting for 83.6% of the country’s population.[1]
