Caroline /ˈkærəln/ is a village in central Alberta, Canada. It is located southwest of Red Deer.

The community is named after Caroline Langley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Langley. The family opened the community's original post office in 1908.[2]

Demographics[edit]

In the 2011 Census, the Village of Caroline had a population of 501 living in 201 of its 248 total dwellings, a -2.7% change from its 2006 population of 515. With a land area of 1.98 km2 (0.76 sq mi), it had a population density of 253.0/km2 (655.3/sq mi) in 2011.[1]

In 2006, Caroline had a population of 515 living in 235 dwellings, a 7.4% decrease from 2001. The village has a land area of 1.98 square kilometres (0.76 sq mi) and a population density of 259.8 inhabitants per square kilometre (673/sq mi).[3]
