Arrowwood is a village in Vulcan County, Alberta, Canada. It is located on Highway 547, approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) east of Okotoks.

Demographics[edit]

In the 2011 Census, the Village of Arrowwood had a population of 188 living in 70 of its 74 total dwellings, a -14.9% change from its 2006 population of 221. With a land area of 0.66 km2 (0.25 sq mi), it had a population density of 284.8/km2 (737.8/sq mi) in 2011.[1]

The population of the Village of Arrowwood according to its 2011 municipal census is 188,[2] a 16.1% decrease from its 2007 municipal census population of 224.[3]

In the 2006 Census, Arrowwood had a population of 221 living in 80 dwellings, a 12.8% increase from 2001. The village has an area of 0.66 km2 (0.25 sq mi) and a population density of 336.4 inhabitants per square kilometer.[4]

Government[edit]

The village is governed by a village council consisting of a mayor and two councillors, and is administrated by a village administrator.[5] Municipal elections are held every four years.

Notable people[edit]

The Canadian-American actress Joyce Meadows was born in Arrowwood but left the village in her early childhood.
