Rycroft is a village in northern Alberta, Canada. It is located 68 km north of the city of Grande Prairie and 7 km east of Spirit River. Dunvegan Provincial Park is located 20 km north of the community.

Demographics[edit]

In the 2011 Census, the Village of Rycroft had a population of 628 living in 280 of its 310 total dwellings, a -1.6% change from its 2006 population of 638. With a land area of 1.69 km2 (0.65 sq mi), it had a population density of 371.6/km2 (962.4/sq mi) in 2011.[2]

According to the 2006 census, Rycroft had a:

  • population of 638 living in 296 dwellings, a 4.8% increase from 2001
  • land area of 1.69 km2 (0.65 sq mi)
  • and a population density of 378.4/km2 (980/sq mi).[3]
