Kakauhua (also rendered Kaukaue, Caucau, Cacahua), or Chono, is a putative language, perhaps Alacalufan, of Chile, known only from toponyms.[citation needed] There is "not a single linguistic fact available" for such a language, but it has been repeated in the literature since Loukotka (1968).[2][1]
A purported language called Chono or "Wayteka" is spurious, being a list of mixed and perhaps invented vocabulary.[3]
