Transition to the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (NFP Act)
Registered charities and registered Canadian amateur athletic associations (RCAAAs) had until October 17, 2014 to transition to the new Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act. Those that have not already transitioned may lose their corporate status and, as a result, their charitable registration.
