The Registry of Lobbyists
The Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying will switch to summer hours on
June 27, 2016. Registration and Client Services staff will be available
between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on
Fridays until September 2, 2016.

Lobbying Act
The preamble of the Lobbying Act states:
- Free and open access to government is an important matter of public interest.
- Lobbying public office holders is a legitimate activity.
- It is desirable that public office holders and the public be able to know who is engaged in lobbying activities.
- A system of registration of paid lobbyists should not impede free and open access to government.
