Lancieux (Breton: Lanseeg, Gallo: Lansioec) is a commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany in northwestern France.

Inhabitants of Lancieux are called lancieutins or lancieutains in French.
Personalities[edit]
The Scottish poet and writer Robert W. Service known as the "Bard of the Yukon" used to spend summers in Lancieux from 1913 until his death in 1958. He was deeply affectionate of the town of Lancieux and its marvellous seaside. In many occasions, he generously gifted the town: for the school, the war memorial,...[1] Robert W. Service is buried in the town cemetery.[2]
