The Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 is a municipal district in southern Alberta, Canada. Located in Census Division No. 3, its municipal office is located adjacent to Claresholm Industrial Airport, west of the Town of Claresholm.

The Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 was incorporated on January 1, 1954.

Demographics[edit]

In the 2011 Census, the Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 had a population of 5,107 living in 1,602 of its 1,747 total dwellings, a -4.3% change from its 2006 population of 5,337. With a land area of 4,558.89 km2 (1,760.20 sq mi), it had a population density of 1.1/km2 (2.9/sq mi) in 2011.[2]

In 2006, Willow Creek No. 26 had a population of 5,337 living in 1,776 dwellings, a 1.4% decrease from 2001. The municipal district has a land area of 4,560.22 km2 (1,760.71 sq mi) and a population density of 1.2/km2 (3.1/sq mi).[3]

In 2001, the municipal district had a population of 5,412 in 1,634 dwellings, a 6% increase from 1996. On a surface of 4,560.37 km² it had a density of 1.2 inhabitants/km².[4]
