National Development Plan - National ICT process already under way
We are making progress in the implementation of the National Development Plan (NDP) vision 2030, which calls for a National ICT policy that supports the needs of the economy, in particular the need for a National e-Strategy that supports various government departments, and a spectrum policy that facilitates competition with the possibility of establishing a common carrier network operator operating on open access network principles.
Helen Suzman and apartheid South Africa
The DA has all the right to blow its own trumpet about the role,but it has no right to insult the intelligence of the nation through factual misrepresentation of history, distortion and lies. The indisputable fact is that Suzman served in a discredited political system and she legitimised an unjust order which made her complicit in the horrors unleashed against the majority, and made her role morally indefensible.
We come too far
All South Africans from an early age must be imbued with a materialistic conception of our country`s history for them to appreciate that racial privileges were ill gotten. Our movement has a responsibility to teach all and sundry the benefits of a non-racial society.
Free State leads the way
PEC member Seiso Mohai writes that the centenary will be the biggest political festival in the life of our movement and a watershed moment in the history of our country. To meet these challenges, the centenary celebrations should unleash the spirit of service and voluntarism that made the ANC a true parliament of the people. The Freestate and indeed the whole country, he wrote, will therefore not be the same after this year
