Brule[2][3] is a hamlet in west-central Alberta, Canada within Yellowhead County.[4] It is located on the northwest shore of Brûlé Lake, approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) west of Hinton. It has an elevation of 1,040 metres (3,410 ft).
Statistics Canada recognizes Brule as a designated place.[5]
The hamlet is located in census division No. 14 and in the federal riding of Yellowhead.
Demographics[edit]
As a designated place in the 2011 Census, Brule had a population of 76 living in 31 of its 38 total dwellings,[1] a −53.9% change from its revised 2006 population of 165.[5] With a land area of 0.35 km2 (0.14 sq mi), it had a population density of 217/km2 (562/sq mi) in 2011.[1]
In the 2006 Census, Brule had a total population of 165 living in 64 dwellings. With a land area of 0.35 km2 (0.14 sq mi), it had a population density of 471.2/km2 (1,220/sq mi).[5]
