Department and Agency websites are merging to Canada.ca. Since 2013, Canada.ca has received over 590 million visits. Users submitted over 50,000 comments, and users accessing the site via mobile devices increased by over 150 percent. The most popular themes include Weather, Immigration, Jobs, Travel and Health.
How is Canada.ca developing?
Canada.ca was launched on December 18, 2013, and this marked the beginning of a four-year process that will merge individual department and agency websites into one. This is a massive undertaking that will take place in phases. Themes will evolve and new topics will be added as departments move their web content over to Canada.ca. Existing federal websites will remain active until their content is fully migrated to the Canada.ca site.
