How do I become a member?

You can purchase your membership:

• ONLINE (base memberships only)
• In person while visiting
• By contacting our Membership Office at membership [at] humanrights.ca or by calling 204-289-2231 or 1-877-877-6037

If I purchased a membership today, when can I begin using it?
Your membership is activated immediately after purchase. 

Can I lend my membership card to my partner or a friend?
Your membership is non-transferable. We will honour membership benefits only when the membership is used by the person named on the card.

How long is my membership valid?
All memberships are valid from the date of purchase to the last day of the twelfth month from purchase.

When will I receive my membership card(s)? 
Whether you purchase a membership online, in person or by phone, your membership cards can be picked up at the Museum.

I lost my membership cards. How can I get replacement cards?

Replacement cards are available by contacting the Membership Office by phone at 204-289-2231 or 1-877-877-6037, or by email at membership [at] humanrights.ca.

Will the Museum share my personal information with other organizations?

We will not share, sell, rent, trade or otherwise disclose your personal information to any outside third party, except with your consent or where authorized or required to do so by law. The personal information that you voluntarily provide to the CMHR is protected under the provisions of the privacy legislation and the CMHR Privacy Statement.

How can I make a donation to the Museum?

The Friends of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights administer all donations to CMHR.

Can my child use their membership card for free admission when visiting the Museum with their school?

Your membership gives you unlimited access for self-guided tours to the Museum’s permanent exhibits. It cannot be used for free admission when visiting the Museum for a guided school program tour.
