Submission Criteria and Review Process

Do you have a resource to add?

If you know of a relevant educational resource, please suggest a resource by clicking the ‘Add Resource’ button. This will take you to the Canadian Teachers’ Federation’s Imagineaction webpage where you will fill out a form and click submit.

Toolkit Resources

The Toolkit data has been organized based on needs identified through a 2013 national survey of classroom teachers, also conducted in partnership between the CTF and the CMHR.

The data has been coordinated, collated and centralized for your convenience and is being offered to you in this pilot phase of the Toolkit, as a preliminary listing of human rights resources. The Toolkit is an evolving database that you can help grow and improve by submitting human rights resources to share with other teachers.

Submission Criteria

We are seeking resources that are non-partisan and unbiased and that are respectful and inclusive.
Resources must be:

  • Related to human rights;
  • In English and/or French;
  • Intended for the Canadian classroom;
  • Aimed at students aged 5 to 18;

How resources are reviewed

Your suggested resource will be verified for completeness and suitability and will be posted as “not reviewed”. Those that do not meet the above submission criteria will be declined for inclusion in the database. All submitted resources that are “not reviewed” will be reviewed on a bi-annual basis by a national committee of accredited teachers brought together by the project partners.
